Garden Alchemy

A thriving garden is equal parts sweet perfume and sharp thorns. A plant with a broken stem, stabed into the ground half dead can still breathe life back into itself and climb up towards the sun again.

A collection about about duality and transformation, inspired by the endless cycles of decay and life. The pieces themselves usually start out as discarded materials smashed, cut, glued and bent into shape, then paper mache, clay, and other mixed sculpting techniques, a process I've come to call trash alchemy. This weird little garden is the result.
